Ich lese gerade "Love, Groucho. Letters from Groucho Marx to His Daughter Miriam".

"Yesterday was the maid's day off and I cooked breakfast, dinner and lunch. Also did the dishes and all the other odd jobs that women usually fall heir to in a home. Any woman who has the choice between a job and housework is mad if she doesn't grab the job. Man was pretty foxy to foist housework on the female. It's not that it's such hard work, but Christ, it sure is monotonous and dull. And the people you see: milkmen, garbage men, mailmen, electricians, plumbers and carpenters. [...] The only advantage it can possibly have for a woman is that it eliminates the necessity of wearing high heels."

Es sei hiermit also wärmstens empfohlen.
